What People Are Saying:

I can't get enough of this type of professional development. It is nourishing to me personally and professionally.

Tara Miller, HS Teacher

I recognize that identifying and addressing the implicit biases that interfere with my ability to deliver truly meaningful instruction for my BIPOC students is a lifelong endeavor, so this ongoing work will allow me to grow and learn through unpacking my biases, identifying toxic patterns, and developing critical cultural sensibilities beyond my own home culture.

Michael Paolucci, Coordinator

I am intrigued, as well as impressed, with how art as a medium can be used to tackle difficult issues and, at the same time, create a level playing field where everyone is in the position (not entirely sure, off balance a bit but willing to explore new ideas)! I was particularly impressed with how the training "flowed"; the pacing, transition and clearly defined outcomes "made" the training very worthwhile.

Todd Whitmire, Principal

It allows us to celebrate the beauty of our cultures, and share our experiences. It allows us to share what we value and are most proud of (or not). It allows us to dive deeper into who we are, and why?

Angelina Arias, Counselor

Wow. So much here. This is something I've "felt" for a long time, but couldn't really put words to. I feel like this is a critical step for me in my efforts to be a more effective equity leader. I think the iterative nature of these lessons are critical if we're really going to achieve the level of learning and systems change needed to really impact outcomes.

Nick Girimonte, Assistent Superintendent of Ed, Dixon

Mariah and Jessa are the most inspiring leaders in the field!
